If you ever see us show up to a shoot without a cup of coffee in our hand, you may want to direct us to the nearest Starbucks! The Smith girls learned that we can be a little silly without our caffeine fix, or when out blood sugar gets low! Luckily, Hannah and Rachael know me in "real life" and how boring I normally am. We were, of course, able to capture some great moments in-between the laughter.Friday, April 3, 2009

This past month we had the honor of working with two fabulous couples. I love walking away from photo shoots full of laughter and smiles! Both of these couples knew how to cut loose and have fun.Patrick and Sarah were natural models. They never needed any instructions or special posing directions. We would point out a location, and they seemed to fall into place every time! They were great sports, even when the wind seemed to take control.

God is so good!

I just wanted to take a second to thank God for all that He has been doing in my life lately. Teaching sixth graders during the day, photo sessions on the weekend, and editing pictures through out the week keep me exhausted most of the time. I am so grateful that God has blessed my life through some really tough times recently. I will never lose faith in a God who shows me grace and mercy every day.

Who is K?

Anyone who has read our blog in the past 3 months may be asking themselves..."who is K?" After all, the website is S AND K...but "S" is the only one who ever blogs. In this day and age there are two types of people...bloggers and non-bloggers. I am, by definition, a non-blogger! However, I am always up for learning and trying new things. So....
Who is K? Well, I am Emily King. I am a wife and a mother of two. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. A major stepping stone in my photography journey was the day my parents took me to a local camera store and bought me my very first Nikon SLR film camera. It wasn't until about 10 years later that I made the switch to digital.
SandKphotography.com is a dream come true for me. I feel truly blessed that God has given me this opportunity to use my talents and passions in a way that brings joy to others. To our amazing clients...thank you for allowing us the opportunity to capture your moments while making memories that last a lifetime!
